Coconut Bliss Balls

Looking for a sweet treat for your children that is low on sugar? Thanks to Stacey at My Kids Lick the Bowl we have the recipe for Coconut Balls.

Coconut Bliss Balls

  • 2 cups desiccated coconut + additional 180g for rolling *optional*
  • 1 cup puffed rice 90g
  • 3 tablespoon coconut oil 50g
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 3 tablespoon coconut milk 45mL

  1. Place coconut, puffed rice in a food processor blitz until very fine
  2. Add honey, coconut oil and coconut milk/cream and blitz until well combined and starting to come together, you may need an extra tablespoon of coconut milk
  3. Refrigerate the mix for approx. 15 mins, this makes it easier to roll into balls
  4. Roll into 20 balls (1 tablespoon full of mix per ball)
  5. Roll in additional desiccated coconut *optional*
  6. Refrigerate for 1-2 hrs and serve

  • For this recipe to be gluten-free check the puffed rice you are using, standard rice bubbles will work in the recipe however they are not gluten-free
  • If you are not big on the texture of desiccated coconut then don’t roll them in extra
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for 7 days or frozen for up to 3 months best served chilled
  • If you initially refrigerate the mix for too long and they are hard to roll into balls, give the mix a quick blitz and it will fix the problem
  • The coconut milk/cream can be substituted for milk or water if you don’t have coconut milk on hand
