Creamy Pea and Ham Pasta

Try this delicious pea and ham pasta. Much like a classic Pea and Ham Soup this pasta is sure to be a favourite amongst the entire family. Give it a try and let us know what you think?

Creamy Pea and Ham Pasta


  • 350g pasta
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • 1 onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 120g cream cheese
  • 200g cooked ham, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped Parsley to garnish
  • Shaved Parmesan cheese to garnish


  1. Sweat onions and garlic in a pan and set aside
  2. Add the pasta and stock cube to a large pan, cover with boiling water and cook according to the pasta package instructions.
  3. The stock cube helps to add some flavour to the pasta while it cooks.
  4. For the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the frozen peas to the pot.
  5. Drain but retain a small cup of the pasta water for the sauce.
  6. Add in the cream cheese and add a splash of the retained pasta water. Mix until the cheese has melted and you get the right consistency of sauce.
  7. Add more pasta water if necessary.
  8. Add in the ham, onion and garlic
  9. Mix well and season to taste with salt and pepper
  10. 1Garnish with parsley and shaved Parmesan 
  11. Serve immediately with some green veg or salad
